Daniel and I met at a Singles Dance in July 2007. I saw him from afar (he's not hard to see at 6'2"), thought he was fairly cute, and thought to myself, "I hope that guy comes and talks to me." He finally made his way over, although it took him awhile to say hello. We exchanged digits after dancing the last dance together. Even though he was living 1.5 hours away from where I lived, he showed up at my church the next sunday, and sat behind me during sunday school. He kept making comments, which I tried to ignore, but enjoyed. After church, as I was leaving the parking lot, I saw him talking to one of his friends, and stopped to join them. When I left, I later found out that, his guy friend told him he better ask me out. The next day, I distinctly remember having the thought go through my mind that went, "I wonder if he'll be the one I marry." Little, did I know. The next day, he called me for a date that weekend. We went to Olive Garden for dinner, couldn't even order we talked some much and came home around midnight, we were having some much fun. There came a second date, which did not go as well as we both had hoped. Both of us came away discouraged and ready to move on. However, both of our mothers encouraged us to continue and give each other another chance, so one night, while my sisters in-laws were in town, I went with them to a baseball game near where his parents lived. He had mentioned to me that he would be visiting them that night. I called him to see if he wanted to join me at the game. He gladly accepted and we had a blast! Then, that weekend we planned a beach trip with two of our friends, although it was mainly for us to get together. The beach trip was the true beginnings of something. We then dated 4 months, spent the holidays together, then for New Years, Daniel suprised me with a nice dinner at brazilian steakhouse, then on a carriage ride downtown, where he proposed with the ring that I had picked out three weeks earlier. Five months later we were married!
