Kid-free Halloween

Halloween was fun even though we didnt dress up this year. I had to work from 12-9pm, so Daniel had the day to do fun things. He was so nice to go out and find us some pumpkins to carve, believe it or not, there was only one place in Greenville that had any, then he bought a favorite Halloween movie of mine, and we watched it while we carved our pumpkins, the ever famous Hocus Pocus! It was a fun night!

October Trip! Fishing and NC Mountains!

Daniel's parents invited us on a trip to the mountains of NC! We took 4 full days! It was great! Thrusday, we drove up, then had dinner. On Friday, the guys went fishing, while us girls went shopping in Blowing Rock. Saturday, we visited Dan's cousin that is attending Applachian. Lucky for us, it rained most of the morning, plus they had a homecoming football game, so we didn't get to see much of Boone or the campus. It was just nice to be away from work, spend time with Daniel's parents and see the trees changing colors. Thanks again! Here are a few pictures of our adventure!

26th Birthday!

My 26th birthday was on Sept 3! Yes, it feels somewhat weird to be over a quarter of a century. Daniel asked me if I felt older this year. I told him yes and no. I feel wiser now being married, but it doesn't seem that my body is catching up with my age. Oh well, I guess that is a good thing. Here are some pictures from our late night celebration!

Last Beach trip of the summer!

We decided to take our last beach trip to the Outer Banks this year! We did lots of fun things. We saw the Wrights Brothers Memorial, saw two lighthouses, and climbed one. We also stayed and visit with my brother and sister-in-law, who live there. It was a great visit! Here are a few pictures!

Family Reunions!

We recently attended a two family reunions this summer. We were so glad to get a full 10 days off work and fly out west. The first few days we spent seeing mainly my family where we stayed in a cabin in Heber City, Utah. Also we spent a day to see Daniel's good friend from his mission, Robert Kuder as well as his aunt and uncle Dave and Debra and his cousins, John and Jessica Tiek, that all lived nearby. The last five days of our vacation, we visited my good friend Candiss in Logan and then we drove to Idaho for my mom's family reunion. It was so great to see family and my cousins who I have not seen in may years and their children as well. Here a some pictures from our wonderful adventure!

Busch Gardens

We were jealous that the Halls and my parents went to Disneyworld without inviting us, so we decided to take our OWN trip to Busch Gardens. Okay, not really. Some people that Daniel works with were planning a day trip to Busch Gardens and invited us to go. So, on Saturday, we left at the earliest we could 7am, and drove from Greenville to Williamsburg, VA where the park is located. We spent the entire time doing something. First roller coaster was Loch Ness Monster, then a motion 4-D simluator in Ireland called Cork Screw Hill, then onto the Alpengeist. Then it was time for some lunch, although I don't understand how anyone gets hungry after riding roller coasters. After lunch, we split up a little. Daniel and I went to a show called Pet Shennigans, where trained pets do some stunts. That was just for me, since I am not a fan of roller coasters. Then we met back up with the rest of the group where they rode the Apollo's chariot which was Daniel's favorite, and then they had to ride the newest roller coaster called the Griffon that takes you up 210 feet, holds up at the top of a 90 degree drop and then lets you go. Sounds like fun huh?! It was a good day. The weather cooperated no rain, but no sun either. Everyone had fun! and me, I learned something new about my husband's love for roller coasters.

One year anniversary trip!

Here is a picture and a neat video from our recent trip to Myrtle Beach for our 1 year anniversary! It was much needed and very nice to get away from work and just enjoy being together. We were gone Fri, Sat and Sunday. On Friday night, we had a nice relaxing dinner. Saturday was our big day. We went and enjoyed the beach, by laying out; then to Ripley's aquarium where we walked under sharks and all kinds of fish. Then we walked around at Brodway at the beach where we discovered the best candy store in the world. That night, we went to dinner and entertainment at Medieval Times, where they dress up like peasants, and knights fought each other on real horses. It was a exciting day! We had a blast! If you would like, there are more pictures of the trip on our public Google page. Thanks to all of you for your wishes! And thanks to my wonderful and loving husband for a great trip and year! I couldn't ask for anything more!
