Big Tigger!

It seems that I always blog about my cat, but there isn't much else to my life! Just kidding! Our scale is finally working again and I thought it would be fun so everyone weighed themselves, including Tigger. Of course, I had to hold him, but he weighed in at 10 LBS! Wow! He is half his weight! We got our hands full!

LDS Employment Class

Daniel and I had the wonderful opportunity this past weekend to attend an LDS Employment class in Raleigh. It was neat! A missionary couple from Charlotte came and taught the class that went all day. We had three breaks, two stretch and one lunch break. We learned some very valuable information about ourselves, practiced interviewing and even taped a mock interview of each of us. It was a great experience! Now that I have practiced my skills some, it has motivated me a little more to do more about my job hunting, so today I went down to the hospital and applied my knowledge. Hopefully, I will have some good results! Wish me luck!'

Quick Trip

Daniel had the day off today so this afternoon, we took a small trip to Washington, North Carolina! It was quite an interesting little town, with little antique shops lining the street. It felt like we went back in time. For those that do not know, Washington is on the Pamlico River/Sound located about 30 min of where we live. We walked down Mainstreet, got a hot dog at Bill's, which Daniel loves. I thought they were okay. We then heard the ice cream at the Dairy Palace was good from someone that lives there, so then we went and got milkshakes. They were fairly good, but the best was the sign located on the window that read "Out of courtesy for our customers please do not spit on the premesis". Daniel and I both busted out laughing when we read that sign. Only in a place like Washington, NC.

Job=More Money

Money is hard to come by with the prices of everything going up. Very unexpectantly, I received a call on Wed Aug 6 from a lady at a retirement community where I had put in my application 2 months ago. She asked me if I was still interested in a job there, and I said yes. I went in for an interview on Thur Aug 7, and was offered a job! Its not much, but I thoroughly enjoy working with the elderly and the people I work with, are so nice and great to get along with!!

Moving!

Its only been 3 months that we have lived in our current apartment, but because many things are going up (not just gasoline) we decided to move into a less expensive apartment. Here are some fun pics of the process of moving so far :)
