Visiting Family at the Beach!

Daniel and I took a much needed visit and trip to see Dan's sister and her family in Florida this past week. We kayaked, swam in the gulf, ate real seafood and most importantly spent time with Megan, Steve and the kids. It was nice and so beautiful! Here are a few pics! Thanks to the Palmers for letting us come!

Spring Break!

Daniel and I decided to take a break from school and work this week. We wanted to see the Biltmore Mansion, so this week we bought tickets online, and rented a hotel room for one night. Thursday morning, we started the five hour drive and got there in time for a nice dinner in downtown Asheville. We enjoyed downtown Asheville, but the dinner not so much. After getting some sleep and a good breakfast, the next morning, we made our way to the Biltmore House. We already had our tickets printed, and had shown them to the people at the gate, so when we got on the bus to the house, we didnt realized that we still needed them. So after stopping at the bathroom first, then going back to get our tickets, we finally made it to the house for the tour. It was so fun! We paid the extra ten dollars for the audio tour, and it was so worth it! After the two hour tour, we walked through the gardens, and took pictures. The weather was wonderful, still a little windy but sunny skies all day long. So grateful for days off! It was needed!

Daniel's Birthday

Daniel had a birthday in February! He turned the big 27! We celebrated with both parents! My parents came down and took us out to eat at McAllisters Deli for lunch the day before and then for dinner on Daniel's birthday, his parents ordered us a nice dinner at Outback! It was a great treat from both! We also ordered a special cake for Daniel's birthday from Cold Stone! Daniel says it was the best birthday even though he was sick! Happy 27th Babe!

Snow in 2010 and Valentine's Day!

This year near the end of January and beginning of Feburary, we got snow here in the upper south! We got 5-7 inches! It was fun. It even stayed for a few days because the temperatures got into the teens here. Two weeks later, we also got snow and it was Valentine's day. The second time it melted quickly and the roads were clear enough that Daniel and I were able to attend the temple on Saturday and even have a nice pre Valentine's Day lunch afterwards at Cheescake Factory. On Valentine's Day, we just went to church and stayed in, fixed a nice dinner and made some sugar cookies. Here are a few pictures! Enjoy!

2010 Here we come!

Dan and I are looking forward to this year! We have gots lots of goals that we want accomplish, as well as have some fun! Dan is still working on his Bachelor's at Mount Olive. He is in his 4th or 5th class right now, and still working full time as a CT Tech. For me, I am currently still working in the Patient Food Office. In mid March for two weeks, I will be part of a new program for receiving menu selections from our patients. We will actually be visiting the patients more on a one-on-one basis, and I will be supervisoring the menu selection side of the program. I am somewhat excited and nervous. If the trial works out, they will make the program permanent within a month or two. As far as a few other goals, we are working on paying off our cars, so that we can save more money :) Here's to a new year!

Christmas 2009

For Christmas, we had some fun! Our schedules for work were opposite days. Dan had to work Christams Eve, and I had off so I went up and spent Xmas Eve with my family, and then when Dan got off we met at Daniel's parents house to spend Christmas Day with his family until I had to work at 12pm that day. Here are some fun pictures from both places! Merry Christmas to all! I will upload more Xmas pictures to our google page!

Fair Trade

After weeks of much thought and consideration of where he could go, this past week, I packed up my beloved Tigger and drove him 1.5 hours to my parents house, where he is currently enjoying the outdoors and being a cat. The following week, my house has never been so clean! I love it! Of course, a small part in us misses him, but the clean house is worth it! Much thanks to my wonderful parents!
