Christmas into New Years!

Here are pictures from Christmas and into New Years! Daniel and I had the pure joy of spending Christmas Eve together! We did get to see family some. We spent Christmas Eve with my family and then Christmas morning with Daniel's parents. We both had to work later on Christmas Day, so we made sure to take one extra day off after Christmas to see family, but a good 14 inches of snow came in the day after Christmas, and kept us inside and in our apartment that day . Oh well, the snow eventually melted and we spent a nice New Years Day with family! I am offically ready for 2011 and the changes that lie ahead. I know I say that now. Enjoy the pictures!

Sum up 2010. 2011 is on its way!

This year has been somewhat eventful for us. This year we celebrated our second year of marriage! The time has flown by. It seems only yesterday, that we knelt across the altar, and yet each day is a wonderful reminder that I am married to my best friend who supports me in everything that I do. Speaking of Daniel, for the past year, he has done full time school at a branch of Mount Olive College for his bachelor’s degree in business, and should be done coming June. He continues to work full time at the hospital in CT Radiology. Work has kept him busy with the addition of a new boss, as well as being part of a committee called Ecomaniacs, that does service around Greenville every month. He has also been busy in our church with being a secretary keeping important records. As for me, work has kept me on my toes as well, with lots of changes to the department and management as well. Things are beginning to return to normal again. I am also involved at church working with the young ladies from 12-18 in our congregation, and it is always a great joy working with them. With the New Year approaching, we are looking forward to Daniel finishing with his bachelor’s in June, as well as adding a wonderful addition to our duo shortly after. We will find out soon after the New Year if it’s a son or daughter coming to us! Happy Holidays to all and may God always be in your hearts as well as your homes! Love to all!

Thanksgiving 2010!

The Holidays are coming! Daniel and I had the opportunity to have a pre-Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house this year, since we are both working THanksgiving day. So on Wednesday, we drove up to my parents house, and had the feast of our lives. Daniel even made the sweet potato casserole for us, that turned out real well! There was so much food, that after everyone had ate, we could all have seconds! It was great! Here are a few pictures! Maybe next year, we will be able to have work-free holidays! Lets hope :)

September Camping trip and Halloween!

Daniel and I took a small vacation for a weekend and went camping in the mountains. We took a tent and camped up in Hanging Rock. It was super cold that night, but we had fun! For Halloween, we were able to carve some pumpkins at least this year even though I had to work. We didnt really celebrate or dress up. Maybe we are getting too old or maybe its because we dont have kids yet? Who knows. Here a some pictures! Enjoy!

Birthday!

I had a birthday, shout hooray! You want to sing to me today! One year older and wiser too! Happy birthday to me! Yes, I turned 27 this year! Last year, I worked on my birthday and it was no fun, so this year, I took the day off! It was great! I had the best day! Slept in, daniel made me breakfast, and let me open some gifts all before he had to leave for work that day. I love music and games, so I asked for an IPOD touch for my birthday. My wonderful husband went out and bought me one! He made me hunt for it though. Also, since Daniel had to work, his mom, aunt Jill, and both of his grandmothers Norma Tiek and Judy Rogers came to Greenville and took me out for lunch to my favorite place Olive Garden, and then shopping at Kohls! I officially love birthdays! Here are some pics from the special day!

2010 WVB Reunion!

Recently, I attended a family reunion in Utah for my dad's side of my family. We decided to "go back to our roots," which was camping at 12 Mile Flat campground in the mountains of Utah near Fayette. The last time we had gone camping here was when I was one year old and according to my parents and my siblings, I fell hands first into a smoldering fire pit, buring my hands pretty bad. Well, this type of thing didnt happen this year, but a child did get hurt. My poor nephew of only 2 years, was hit right on his nose by a homemade swing, a 2 by 4 piece of wood. Oh yes, of course as all family gatherings go, most of got sick as well. We discovered halfway through the camping experience, that the water there was unsafe to drink, so most of us got the runs as well as puking. Overall it was a good trip. The best part was seeing my cousins, and my family that lives in Utah, who I dont see on a regular basis. Here a few pictures!
